Hours of Operation

Conservation Areas:
7:30 a.m. to dusk daily.

Please note that all conservation areas are closed after sunset except during CRCA programs or meetings.

Little Cataraqui Creek Outdoor Centre Hours

  • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
  • 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends

Available for room rentals. Call (613) 546-4228 ext. 222 for bookings.

Entry Fees

Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area and Gould Lake Conservation Area has a daily entry fee of:
Adults: $5.50
Children (12 & under): $3.00
Max. fee per car: $14

(Cash only. Payment by debit card is not available.)

Annual passes, which can be used at both Conservation Areas, are $80 per year.

Donation boxes are located at our other Conservation Areas and at our boat ramps. Your donations help to maintain these facilities, so please make a contribution each time you visit.

Getting Ready for Spring in Our Conservation Areas


snowdrops Come out and enjoy the first signs of spring in our beautful conservation areas.

Hike along the Cataraqui Trail or at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area or Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.

Go walking at Lemoine Point Conservation Area.

Explore the trails at Parrott's Bay Conservation Area or Gould Lake Conservation Area.

Each Conservation Area has its own page on our website, which includes maps, directions on how to get there and a description of the property and the facilities that are available.

Spring Programs and Events

We have the following programs and events coming up at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area:
  • Fly Casting for Beginners - Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., advance registration required. Click here to go to our registration forms page.
  • Spring Fling P.A. Day Program - Friday, May 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for ages 6 to 11, advance registration required. Click here to go to our registration forms page.
  • Nature Explorers Camp - a summer day camp for ages 6 to 11 advance registration required. Click here to go to our registration forms page. Click here for more details about our camp.

The following events are being held at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area:

  • Spring Tree Sale and Tree Identification Hike on May 11 (Sale 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Hike 10:00 a.m.)
  • Stargazing on Friday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m.

These events are being held at Lemoine Point Conservation Area:

  • Native Plant Sale - Saturday, May 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This event is being held at Gould Lake Conservation Area:

  • Canoe Workshop for Beginners - Saturday, May 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. advance registration required. Click here to go to our registration forms page.

We offer curriculum-based conservation education programs at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area in Kingston and at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville.

Annual Vehicle Passes

kayaking at Little Cataraqui Creek CAAre you a frequent visitor to Little Cataraqui Creek or Gould Lake Conservation Areas? Save money on admission by buying an annual vehicle pass. The cost is $80 and it provides you with admission to both of these conservation areas for one year.
