Conservation Areas:
7:30 a.m. to dusk daily.
Please note that all conservation areas are closed after sunset except during CRCA programs or meetings.

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends from January 1 to April 3, 2012

Entry Fees
Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area and Gould Lake Conservation Area has a daily entry fee of:
Adults: $5.50
Children (12 & under): $3.00
Max. fee per car: $14
(Cash only. Payment by debit card is not available.)
Annual passes, which can be used at both Conservation Areas, are $80
per year.
Donation boxes are located at our other Conservation
Areas and at our boat ramps. Your donations help to maintain
these facilities, so please make a contribution each time you visit.

Winter 2012 Weekend Programs and Events
- Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area: Cross-country Ski Lessons. Learn how to ski or improve your technique. Cross-country ski lessons are offered on Saturdays from January 7 to March 3, weather permitting. Register in advance, or on the day of the lesson, at the Outdoor Centre. Cost is $16.00 per person. Group lessons are one-hour in length. Lesson times are 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Mac Johnson Wildlife Area: Saturday Skating. Every Saturday in January and February from Noon to 3:00 p.m. weather permitting.
- Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area: Owl Hoot and Coyote Howl on Saturday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. Bring your family out on a night walk at the Owl Hoot and Coyote Howl. Learn a bit more about owls and coyotes. We will be hooting for owls and howling for coyotes. We will not see these animals, but if we are lucky, they might call back. Admission fees apply.
- Mac Johnson Wildlife Area: Winter Fun Day on
Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. postponed to Saturday, February 18
Enjoy the festivities at our tenth annual Winter Fun Day at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville. Enjoy dog sled races by the Mush Larose Association - Training Division, skating on the pond, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter activities for children, displays and refreshments. Admission is $5.00 per car.
- Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area: Winter Sports P.A. Day on Friday, February 3 at 8:30 a.m. Give your child(ren) an opportunity to have a P.A. Day full of winter adventure and fun at the Winter Sports P.A. Day. For ages 6 to 11. We’ll be cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing through the fields, forests and wetland areas of Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program runs until 4:30 p.m. Bring your lunch, snacks, drinks, and warm extra clothes. The program will run regardless of weather; we have alternate plans for interactive games and activities if there is not enough snow. Cost is $40.00 per child and includes equipment rentals. You must register in advance. Space is limited for this popular program, so register early. Click here for the registration form.
- Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area: Snowshoe Demonstration on Sunday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. Learn all about modern snowshoes from Kingston's outdoor store, Trailhead. Find out what's new in snowshoes as Trailhead staff demonstrate the latest in snowshoes.
- Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area: Little Cat Classic Ski Loppet on Sunday, February 12. Register for each event 30 minutes before start time. (Registration fee is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per team.) This annual winter fun day is hosted by the Canadian Ski Patrol Frontenac Zone. Skis and snowshoes are available to rent at the Outdoor Centre.If poor ski conditions exist, the alternate date is Sunday, February 12. The day's events include:
- 10:00 a.m. - Cross-Country Ski Loppets, 5 km or 10 km.
- 1:00 p.m. - Family Fun Relay, skate, snowshoe and ski.

Annual Vehicle Passes
Are you a frequent visitor to Little Cataraqui Creek or Gould Lake Conservation Areas? Save money on admission by buying an annual vehicle pass. The cost is $80 and it provides you with admission to both of these conservation areas for one year.
