Hours of Operation

Conservation Areas:
7:30 a.m. to dusk daily.

Little Cataraqui Creek Outdoor Centre
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Closed on weekends from May to September except when programs are running.

Available for room rentals. Call (613) 546-4228 ext. 222 for bookings.

Entry Fees

Gould Lake Conservation Area and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area have a daily entry fee of:
Adults: $5.00
Children (12 & under): $3.00
Max. fee per car: $13
(effective July 1, 2010 due to the HST)

During July and August entry fees to Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area are reduced to $5.00 per car.

(Cash only. Payment by debit card is not available.)

Annual passes, which can be used at both Conservation Areas, are $75 per year (effective July 1, 2010).

Donation boxes are located at our other Conservation Areas and at our boat ramps. Your donations help to maintain these facilities, so please make a contribution each time you visit.

Cool Off in our Conservation Areas


the beach at Gould Lake Conservation AreaHike along the Cataraqui Trail. Enjoy a day at Parrott's Bay Conservation Area, Gould Lake Conservation Area or Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.

Cool off with a swim at Lemoine Point Conservation Area, Lyn Valley Conservation Area or Gould Lake Conservation Area.

Rent a canoe or kayak and paddle on the reservoir at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area.

Each Conservation Area has its own page on our website, which includes maps, directions on how to get there and a description of the property and the facilities that are available.

Annual Vehicle Passes

Are you a frequent visitor to Little Cataraqui Creek or Gould Lake Conservation Areas? Save money on admission by buying an annual vehicle pass. The cost is $75 (effective July 1, 2010) and it provides you with unlimited admission to both of these conservation areas for one year.

Summer Programs and Events

At Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area in Kingston our Nature Explorers Camp for 6 to 11 year-olds has some spaces available due to cancellations. Click here for more information about our summer day camp.

Join the Friends of Lemoine Point for the following events at Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston:

  • Sunday, August 29 - Wildflower Walk
  • Invasive Species Control - Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in May and June; Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. from July to November
  • Plant Sales - Wednesday mornings at the Native Plant Nursery.

Join us for a free Well and Septic Workshop on Saturday, July 10 at the Joshua Bates Centre in Athens. Registration is required by calling (613) 546-4228 ext. 221 or 1-877-956-CRCA ext. 221.

Get Out on the Water This Summer

Charleston Lake Boat RampThe Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority has boat ramps and water access points to provide public access to our area lakes. Boat ramps are suitable for launching boats on trailers.

Water access points are for canoes, kayaks or cartop boats. Click here for more information.

Canoe and Kayak Rentals

No boat? No problem! Canoes and kayaks are available for rent at Gould Lake Conservation Area and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Pedal boats are available for rent at Gould Lake Conservation Area. Rates begin at $7 per hour which includes life jackets and safety gear.
