Kingston - The weather forecast from now to Friday, February 13, calls for continued warm temperatures accompanied by rain and that will weaken the ice cover on waterbodies.
This is expected to increase water levels in local streams, creeks, rivers and lakes. Flooding is not expected in any of the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority's (CRCA) watersheds.
However, ice coverings over water will weaken during the next few days. The CRCA is advising that you stay off of ice-covered streams, creeks, rivers and lakes due to the weakened ice and increased water flow.
The CRCA continues to monitor flow and water levels as part of its flood forecasting and warning program. Updated messages will be issued as warranted.
