TransCanada funds AV purchase for CRCA

Kingston - The board of the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) will express formal gratitude to TransCanada PipeLines Limited for a $4,400 grant at the conservation authority's first board meeting in 2007.

"This TransCanada grant money will be used to fund the purchase of a laptop computer, a projector, an audio-visual cart to contain the equipment, a projection screen and digital camera," says CRCA General Manager Steve Knechtel.

The equipment will be used by the CRCA's education department for presentations to area school children and other groups attending education programs at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area's Outdoor Centre.

TransCanada is one of North America's leading energy companies in natural gas transmission and power generation. Education and life long learning are priorities for the company's community investment strategies and programs.
