CRCA arranges March 19 talk
by grazing and pasture management expert

Kingston - The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority has arranged an address on grazing and pasture management on March 19 at the Outdoor Centre at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area.

The speaker will be Jack Kyle of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Mr. Kyle is well known through his extensive speaking engagements and written articles to Ontarians engaged in livestock and pasture management.

"Attendees will learn to improve their profits, efficiency and forage productivity as well as land and water resources through improved grazing management," says Mr. Kyle.

His admission-free talk begins at 7 p.m. and will be of special interest to all livestock owners.

Mr. Kyle's focus is ". . . anybody interested in doing a good job of managing their pastures. I'll tend to focus on beef cattle but my address also applies to sheep, horses, goats and dairy cattle . . . this is for anyone with grazing animals."

His official title is grazier specialist and he's worked for OMAFRA for 23 years specializing in animals that graze. His focus is promoting good grazing management practices.

Mr. Kyle is located in Lindsay.
