Noted doctor honoured with conservation award

Kingston - Dr. James Day of Kingston will be honoured with the Cataraqui Conservation Foundation's annual conservation award at the group's annual general meeting on May 27.

A noted researcher, Dr. Day is an immunologist and allergist. His nomination for this award also recognizes his work as a landowner who protects environmentally significant properties.

He is a longtime supporter of the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA).

The Cataraqui Conservation Foundation raises funds that assist the CRCA. The main activities of the Foundation in support of the CRCA are raising funds to buy environmentally significant lands and helping to fund the outdoor education program.

The Foundation's annual general meeting starts at 4:00 p.m. at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area Outdoor Centre.
