Kingston - The Cataraqui Conservation Foundation is calling for nominations for its annual conservation award.
This is awarded annually to an individual or group that has advanced the understanding of the interdependence of all life and promoted protection of the natural environment within the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority's (CRCA) jurisdiction.
To qualify, the nominee must have: promoted conservation through education, directed conservation action or advocacy as a volunteer; and demonstrated determination and commitment to advance conservation and ecological values.
Nominations must be received no later than Tuesday, 10 April.
Nomination forms are available at the CRCA Administration Office, on its web site at www.cataraquiregion.on.ca or by calling (613) 546-4228, Ext. 221. Nominations may be hand-delivered, mailed or faxed to (613) 547-6474.
The Cataraqui Conservation Foundation raises funds for the CRCA. Money raised is invested in the acquisition of environmentally sensitive lands and in the outdoor education program.
