CRCA rents canoes/kayaks at Little Cataraqui Creek and Gould Lake Conservation Areas

Kingston - The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is renting canoes and kayaks at reasonable rates again this summer.

You may rent a canoe or kayak at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area on Division Street, just north of Highway 401, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. All rentals must be returned before 4 p.m. Rentals are not available on weekends or holidays at this location.

At Gould Lake Conservation Area, rentals are available Wednesdays to Sundays between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Times will change as of July 1 to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rentals are not available on Mondays or Tuesdays with the exception of the Civic Holiday when they will not be available Tuesday and Wednesday that week. Please make your reservation at least one week in advance by calling Shannon Fleming at 546-4228, Ext. 222.

The rental fee is the same at both locations: it's $7 for one hour; $13 for two hours; $18 for three hours; $22 for four hours and $29 after four hours. These amounts include taxes. Each canoe or kayak is rented with paddles, life jackets and safety equipment.
