HST causes CRCA to hike gate fees

Kingston - Entry fees at two popular Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority conservation areas will increase July 1 because of Ontario's new harmonized sales tax.

Effective that date, entry to Little Cataraqui Creek and Gould Lake Conservation Areas will cost:

• $5.00 per person age 13 and older
• $3.00 per person for children age 12 and under
• $13.00 per vehicle maximum and
• $75.00 for an annual pass.

These fees apply to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.

For July and August only at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area, the maximum fee is $5.00 per vehicle.
