Nature Program for Retirees
Alternative Conservation Education (ACE)


CRCA Alternative Conservation Education Program

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority offers quality alternative conservation education programs for adult learners. All of our programs are English as a Second Language (ESL) friendly.

Location

Programs take place at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area (2 km north of Hwy. 401, Division Street, Kingston).

Times and Dates

The Nature Program for Retirees is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays on the dates below. Our Conservation Education staff will meet participants outside in front of the Outdoor Centre at 1:00 p.m. sharp.

Fees

The Nature Program for Early Learners is $62.00 HST exempt ($7.75 x 8 visits). We accept cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard and Debit.

Registration

Parents must call (613) 546-4228 ext. 221 or email: ddoyle@cataraquiregion.on.ca to set up a registration appointment as space is limited.
Registration closes on Thursday September 8, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.

Refund policy

Once the program has started, there are no refunds. Participants are encouraged to find a replacement if they unable to take part in the 8 visits.

Program Description

Based at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area, participants will be provided with conservation education while experiencing the beauty of the great outdoors.

Participants will experience interesting nature lessons, light physical activities, memory exercises, and tapping into past experiences. Throw in a bit of socializing, and the afternoons will be enlightening and fun. The program will be led by the Conservation Education staff, Stana and Angela.
